Terms of use – Norsk Samtale
1. Provider
Norsk Samtale is provided by Willy Edison Martínez Lozano, trading as Martinez Lozano Internasjonal Handel (ENK (enkeltpersonforetak)), org. no. 935 407 095, VAT NO935407095MVA, Norbygata 19, 0187 Oslo, Norway. Contact: kontakt@mlinternasjonal.no.
2. The service
Norsk Samtale is a tool for practising Norwegian Bokmål with an AI tutor: written and spoken conversation with corrections and explanations in Spanish, guided lessons, listening and spelling, and hands-free practice calls. The app is free and contains no purchases. Voice and AI features require an internet connection and your acceptance in the app.
3. AI tutor and learning results
The tutor is an artificial intelligence. Its replies, corrections, transcriptions and pronunciation are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. Norsk Samtale is not a certified language course and does not guarantee any level, exam result or certificate. A practice call is a conversation inside the app with an AI; it is not a telephone call and cannot be used to contact emergency services or other people.
4. Acceptable use
Use the service for personal language practice. Do not use it for unlawful purposes, to record or submit other people's voices or personal data without a lawful basis, to generate harmful content, to attempt to circumvent usage limits or to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer our services. We may limit or block access in case of misuse.
5. Usage limits and availability
Voice and AI features depend on external providers and are subject to fair-use limits and quotas. When a limit is reached, features may pause temporarily or the app may use your device's built-in voice. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we may improve, change or discontinue features.
6. Liability
The service is provided free of charge. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses or for errors in AI-generated content. Nothing in these terms limits your mandatory rights as a consumer.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its lessons, content and brand belong to the provider. You keep the rights to what you say and write.
8. Privacy
See our privacy policy.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced on this website.
10. Law and disputes
Norwegian law applies. Contact us first so we can try to solve the issue. Consumers may also contact the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) and use the Consumer Disputes Commission (Forbrukerklageutvalget). The courts of Oslo have jurisdiction, without prejudice to consumers' right to sue at their place of residence.
